Good Evening Sacramento!

I just want to say Sacramento is great and that there is no other city like it. When I think about growing up on the outskirts of this “cow town” listening to KZAP and 93 Rock (crank it up) I’m glad my daughter will get the same chances I had… and probably a lot more.
Sacramento is a city on the threshold of greatness. We have real skyscrapers trying to get in. Real culture with a plethora of artistic events. And one of the most diverse cultures in the world. We don’t all get along all of the time but I think we do most of the time and that in itself is a small miracle.
Now we have our own theme parks, championship golf tournaments, indoor racing and so much more. Remember when everything cool was two hours away?

New sub domain, New design.. looks cool :) btw, any specific purpose for that, I mean is that for building content for SEO stuff or some more things to consider..?

Which part? LOL
The subdomain is to separate the focus of 14thC, which is general to SEO and online business, from my client activities.
The Sacramento Edition lets me get more personal and talk about the things my clients are interested in. They have literally told me that they believe I am a smart guy that can get the job done based on what my blog says… and that they have no idea what any of it means.
This new format will let me network locally and give my clients things that are practical for them to consider. A dry cleaner isn’t going to understand why Google pushing “nofollow” on some links is important - that’s what they have me for. But seeing examples of what other clients have accomplished may get them inspired.
14thC is about the industry. Sac.14thC is about the clients.
From an SEO perspective, the subdomain should allow me to geo-target my local area as well. 14thC is too general for that and I want more local clients. Sacramento is a great city and one of the best places to live. I realized that I want to do more to support my community… including online.
When your web host tells you they are “SEOing” your site you may be in trouble. There’s a lot I can educate people on to make Sacramento businesses more competitive.
And from a business point of view there may be some tax benefits… We’ll see.
There were lot’s of reasons to make the split. I could have registered a new domain but honestly the subdomain seemed like the best choice given that I offer the services I talk about on the main site.
The redesign was overdue. The new look is more professional and easier to read. The old look was nice for a while but as I was adding and removing features it got cluttered. And I wanted to manage all the content from a single point instead of several places. The old site had static pages mixed with a blog. This site is 100% WordPress driven and much easier to manage.
